“Baraonna” is the Italian vocal septet that becomes famous thanks to its participation in the 1994 San Remo Festival where they got awarded with the critics' prize and the best arrangement prize.

Baraonna's music has created its own and recognizable music style mixing the Mediterranean and Neopolitan musical tradition with jazz, funky and swing, in an appreciable centrifuge of polyphonies and counterpoints of a high technical level.

Italy, where the mastery of the voice has always fascinated composers, holds Baraonna as one of its best cultural ambassadors, present for more than 25 years on the international scene.
The roots and traditions of vocal techniques are ubiquitous in the interpretations of a repertoire they draw from Neapolitan chants, Duke Ellington's swing, or Paolo Conte's phrasing.

They have been invited many times abroad to represent the Italian music and culture:

New Orleans Jazz Festival
Suisse: Ascona, L’Inoui, café concert
Luxembourg: Redange
April Spring Festival
Pyongyang
Festival di Nova Goriça en Slovénie
Jazz Swiss
Lugano
Mendrisio
Campione d’Italia
Bellinzona Jazz Vocal Ensemble & Masterclass
